DENITA ASBERRY

Denita Asberry brings the kind of charisma portrayed only by a real legend to her performance as Aretha Franklin often seen in the award-winning live tribute show Legends in Concert. Denita’s confidence shines with experience and confidence as she electrifies audiences with her uncanny look and powerful voice. A professional singer and performer since the age of 16, Denita knows her craft well and is equally versed in jazz, pop, rock and rhythm & blues. She began impersonating her favorite singers in the National Touring Company of BEEHIVE. There she honed the character and movements of Aretha Franklin.  Audiences showed their appreciation by telling Denita that she had a striking resemblance to a young Aretha Franklin. From this experience, Denita began her tribute to the superstar. Today, Denita performs throughout the U.S and internationally as the Soulful Detroit diva. With the resurgence of Soul Music, Denita is busier than ever and continues to delight her fans worldwide.

AVANA “THE GEORGIA PEACH” CHRISTIE

Avana Christie, affectionately known as “The Georgia Peach” has graced many stages in Las Vegas as well as has travelled around the world to Japan, Spain, Australia Taiwan, and China allowing her to develop the ability to sing in different languages.  With Gospel music as her roots, Avana has been performed with Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, At the Stellar Awards, Donald Lawrence.  Additionally, as Back Up Choir for Charles Jenkins, Mariah Carey’s Christmas show held at Caesar’s Palace Coliseum, Barbra Streisand, The Eagles, and part of the Desert Angel’s Gospel Choir performing at several corporate/private events including House of Blues Gospel Brunch.

Avana is a recording artist releasing three original songs having teamed up with Mikisha Davis “AKA Kyss Kyss” and James D. Ross to create and producer her music with her latest hit single “Peachy Wit Me.” Avana is an award-winning lead actress in multiple movies including “Emerge.” Her latest project, “Kinfolk” recently released on Amazon Prime and TubiTV.

QUEEN ARIES ANIKA LARKIN

A versatile talent who moves easily from glossy ballads to hip-hop inspired dance, and pop – earning comparisons to Teena Marie, Minnie Riperton, and Whitney Houston. A talented singer/songwriter, coupled with her six (6) Octave range (obtained from her 8-yrs spent at the Lyric Opera of Chicago), offers an exciting sound and experience for every audience.

Queen ARIES has traveled across the world as the Principal Singer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ Production Department, entertaining passengers from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean Sea. Queen ARIES is also a recording artist currently signed to the largest Canadian based Techno Label, FVYDID.  She also has noted histories with record labels Rap-A-Lot, Atlantic, Universal and JIVE. Queen ARIES’ contribution on the project by Scarface “My Balls and My Word” “Spend The Night”– Rap-A- Lot helped to propel that album to Gold. Currently, Queen ARIES a back-up singer for Denita Asberry’s “Soulville-Respect To The Queen Show.”  Additionally, she works with Ken Trular of Sonic Crave Music Chicago and Dirt Bomb of DBomb Entertainment Las Vegas, formally of Deadwood Music.

EDDIE FLUELLEN – SWITCH – ORIGINAL MEMBER

Eddie Fluellen. Hailing from Akron, Ohio, he is a recording artist, writer, and producer whose musical versatility knows no limits. He began his musical journey at eight years old with lessons in classical piano. By 16, he became proficient on trombone. At 20, he helped co-found what would become Motown Records’ gold and platinum selling recording artist, SWITCH. Eddie has spent his time performing and touring with numerous acts, becoming music director for several of them including Denita Asberry – Soulville. Currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Eddie continues his musical endeavors by performing, directing, accompanying, writing, arranging, and producing in a variety of musical genres. He also teaches piano and trombone, mentoring the future generation of musicians. While still being called upon by many local and national acts, Eddie Fluellen has an eye to the future in the music industry.

 

JAMES “DARNELL” AGNEW

Darnell started learning drums at 5-years old.  He is self-taught and by age 11, he was playing drums at his church.  He became a professional drummer at age 17 working with the well-known artists, Gerard Levert, O’Jays, and Earth, Wind & Fire. In 2001, Darnell moved to Las Vegas and played with various local artists before working with the Isley Brothers.  He currently performs exclusively with “Denita Asberry’s Soulville Respect to The Queen Show.”

Anthony “Skip” Anderson

Skip has been playing guitar and singing professionally for over 30 years and versatile a variety of genres as rock, pop, country, and R & B. While living in Arizona, he joined local Arizona bands including with Alexis, 3-D and Deadline.  Skip moved to Las Vegas in 2012 playing in “Extreme Live Show, “and a regularly featured player with “Denita Asberry’s, Soulville, Respect to The Queen Show.”  A sought-after player, Skip regularly plays with “Best Bet”,” Jump”, “Go Big”, “The Razz Band” and “The Terry Wayne Project
